Now you can make Applebees' Oriental Chicken Salad at home!
It is quick to make thanks to chicken tenders. And it is tasty to boot!
I have been on a real 'restaurant recipe' kick of late. If they make it on to a major restaurant menu that already suggests it is a good recipe... and if it stays there -it is great!
Chicken tenders add protein and toasted almonds and cabbage add crunch. The dressing is a honey sesame flavour. It all adds up to tasty lunch salad.
Chow main noodles stand in for other salad toppers. Full confession.. I didn't have any and I didn'twant that to stop me from making this salad so I used a crunchy salad topper I had on hand. See the variations in the Recipe card for other changes I made to the original. (Recipe is written is the original).
Wine Pairing for Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad
This dressing here is noticeably sweet so an off dry Riesling or Gewurztraminer would fit the bill. An off dry Rosé would also.
