Equipment
- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs stewing beef
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 tsps olive oil
- 1 medium onion sliced thinly
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3 green onions trimmed, white and green cut into ½ pieces
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- ½ cup hoisin sauce
Instructions
- Toss the cubes of beef in the cornstarch and allow it to rest about 10 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the beef cubes after they have rested.
- Transfer beef to the slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients.
- Cook on High 4 hours or low about 7 hours.
Notes
- Add mushrooms or sno peas to the slow cooker in the last half hour if you wish and serve over rice.
