This Garlic Steamed Broccoli is a great side dish for an Asian inspired menu. The sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds give it a nutty, rich taste.

It is a nice change from the traditional lemon, butter flavour profile. You only need a small amount of sesame oil to impart big flavour so it can still be light in calories but heavy on taste.
This recipe with such simple ingredients fits into pretty much all lifestyles - omnivore, vegan, vegetarian, nutritarian, gluten-free. You name it - it fits!
I like my broccoli steamed for about 7 minutes. That leaves it crisp and crunchy still. You can adjust steam time to suit your preferences.
I served this with my Bourbon Hoisin Pork and Perfect Rice.
