Air Fryer Tortillas

- 1 medium flour tortillas
- olive oil for misting
- chili/lime season salt like Tiajin or seasoning of your choice. See note 1
Spray both sides of the tortillas with olive oil or cooking oil.
Sprinkle each side with seasoning to taste.
Cook 5 mintues on Air Fry setting. Flip tortillas over at mid point.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Note 1: If you don't have a premade Mexican-style seasoning combine a ½ teaspoon each of salt, chili powder and cumin. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or other chili powder like Ancho or Habanero to taste. Sprinkle over both sides of the tortilla.
Air Fryer Tortilla Bowl:
- Spray flour tortilla with olive oil or cooking spray on both sides. Use a toothpick to prick the tortilla all over, right out to the outer edge. Don't skip this step or the tortilla will blow up and won't form a bowl shape.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees if necessary.
- Drape tortilla over outside of a small bowl. The size of bowl will vary depending on the size of your tortilla.
- Center the bowl upside down and air fry (on air fry setting) for 5 minutes.
- Remove bowl, gently remove the tortilla bowl. Set the bowl upright and air fry another 2 minutes.
- Allow to cool before filling with salad.
Air Fryer Chips:
- You can use corn or flour tortillas.
- Spray both sides with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Sprinkle the tortilla with Tiajin or a mixture of equal parts chili powder and salt.
- Air fry for 3 minutes for crispy edges and for 5 minutes for crispy throughout.
- Allow to cool before dipping in salsa and or sour cream. Drizzle with lime juice if desired.
Note: For sweet chips sprinkle with equal parts cinnamon and sugar.
