El Enemigo Chardonnay 2017 VINTAGES#: 482984 $23.95 Mendoza, Argentina
This Chardonnay is scoring 95-98 points by various critics. It is being compared the the great wines of Burgundy and California at twice the price or more. James Suckling uses a lot of superlatives to describe the richness, ension and notes of lemon, apple, complex yeast with hints of oak. That is a LOT going on for $23.95!
Leaning Post The Fifty Chardonnay 2018 VINTAGES#: 578864 $22.95 Ontario, Canada. Leaning Post has a solid reputation for quality wines, highlighting Ontario terroir. They specialize in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Fifty tends to score highly throughout the years and I would expect this one to be no exception. This one promises complexity, creaminess, stone fruit and ‘chalky minerality’. Yum.
Vignerons de Buxy Buissonnier Montagny 2017 VINTAGES#: 382879 $19.95 Burgundy, France. Here is an opportunity to enjoy the classic quality, elegance, structure of Burgundy without breaking the bank. Notes of honeysuckle, stone, lemon, peach and hazelnut with underlying minerality. This one is described as great value that will develop and evolve for 5 + years.

Lots of superlatives in the description of this wine like ‘spellbinding, exceptional, mellifluous, graceful, special value’. Juicy acidity, spice, grapefruit, and lemon drop. Sounds like a winner for dry Riesling fans.
