Note 1: Quantities required will vary with the size of your roll. Use your judgment to ensure fillings are generous and to taste.
Note 2: Toast walnuts or pine nuts on an oven proof pan approximately 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Check periodically to ensure they don’t burn.
Note 3: If using fresh pear or Granny Smith apples wash and slice and put into a bowl of water with a Tbsp of lemon juice. Remove and drain just before adding to the platter so they don’t turn brown.
