Ingredients
  • 24 whole pitted datesget the plumpest, most uniform dates you can find
  • 1/4cup white Portcan sub wine or orange juice
  • 3oz goat cheeseat room temperature
  • 2Tbsps finely crushed pistachios
  • 24whole pistachiosfor garnish
Instructions
  1. Pour port over the dates and let them steep for 20 minutes.
  2. Mix goat cheese and crushed pistachios together. When dates have steeped drain off the liquid and add it to the goat cheese mixture.
  3. Split each date and fill with goat cheese mixture. Top with a whole pistachio.
  4. Serve at room temperature.
